Hazardous Material Labeling Guide

There is an excellent paper that discusses required labeling of hazardous materials written by Dr. Judith J. Bishchoff. The paper is directed at conservation laboratories and museums, but the information and recommendations apply to any facility.

The paper is titled "A Conservator’s Guide to Labeling Hazardous Chemicals" and is a PDF document located at: http://aic.stanford.edu/health/guides/H&S_Insert_092005_WEB.pdf

The paper concludes with the following statement: "In the end, the choice of labeling system depends on what information you want to convey to your employees. Whichever system you choose, it is important to be consistent with your labeling and to train all employees, including interns, in the proper use of the chosen system."

This is why the DuraLabel 4TTP is such an excellent label printer for making RTK labels. It provides tremendous flexibility.
